2021 BWM 4 Series Convertible Prices, Reviews, and Specifications

The 2021 BMW 4 Series Convertible is one of the most beautiful cars this company has ever produced. With a fabric top that replaces previous models’ hard top, it’s been available since March, and with BMW 4 Series convertible prices starting at just over $54,000, it’s certainly one you’ll want to consider.

Does a Fabric Top Change Everything?

The biggest conversation around this model is the fabric convertible top. Many people look for a beautiful convertible because they’re easily the most romantic cars on the market today, and it’s not hard to see why BMW moved from the more traditional hard top to this one. When it’s closed, it creates a beautiful level of elegance that the hard top couldn’t match. Where the hard top created a trunk bulge, the fabric top is easy to manage, looks great, and doesn’t take up as much luggage space. More than that, though, it contributes to the weight of this car, which is 40% lighter. It’s incredibly easy to use, too, as it opens within 18 seconds.

The Specs

If the fabric top isn’t enough to sell you on this model, the specs will be. This model sits on a longer wheelbase, so it’s a bit bigger than previous versions overall. The interior is reminiscent of the 3-series, so you’ll see plenty of room in both the front and the rear, so if you’re looking for an extended road trip in this vehicle, you certainly have the space to do it.

Agility and responsiveness help to define this car thanks to its lower center of gravity. It’s as much fun to drive as any of their sedan models, too, despite the open-top change.

Choose from two different engines with this, a four cylinder or a straight-six. The 2.0 liter 4 cylinder offers 255 hp and 295 lb/ft of torque. The 3.0 liter straight six, though, offers quite a bit more coming in at 382 hp and 369 lb/ft of torque. Either is available in all-wheel drive or rear wheel drive models.

Naturally, you’ll find the infotainment system that comes standard with all BMW models inside as well as connectivity to both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. You can also choose to integrate a head-up display.

The Reviews

Reviewers are almost giddy about this model thanks to the fabric top and the specs. Most celebrate the sporty handling the convertible has to offer, as well as the addition of extra cargo space thanks to the fabric top. They also cite the responsive nature of the vehicle across the entire 4-series. It’s one of the sportiest vehicles on the market today, and reviewers love that level of fun it offers.

What to Expect In Terms of Pricing

Pricing on these models starts at $54,095, but should you choose to go with the M440i version, you’ll pay $66,995 for the upgrade. You can also choose to further upgrade to an all-wheel drive for another $2,000.

Audi A5 vs BMW 4 Series

If you had the money, which coupe would you buy? The BMW 4 Series or the Audi A5? Read on for the comparisons between the two vehicles.

Audi A5 vs BMW 4 Series

First, both cars have good aesthetics and have established themselves as reliable vehicles. Both vehicles are considered luxury cars that will put a smile on your face while driving.

The Audi A5 is an ultramodern Sportback with features of a hatchback complete with five doors. The BMW 4 Series has a reputation of excellent handling around corners. Which car is the right one for you?

When comparing the Audi A5 vs. BMW 4 series, both vehicles are stylish and functional, which means that you will be able to use the car for both short and long journeys without any compromise in comfort, speed, or power.

Both may appear slightly small on the exterior, but the interior is roomy with ample space for luggage in the trunk. Both cars come with a powerful 2.0-liter diesel engine with a four-wheel drive.

While both cars have matching acceleration, the one difference is that the A5 has a rapidly shifting 7-speed automatic transmission, whereas the BMW 4 Series has a sturdy 6-speed manual transmission.

There is an option to have an 8-speed automatic transmission in the 4 series for a few extra dollars, which results in smoother and improved performance. On-road performance between the two is similar with the series 4 showing better handling around corners.

For long-distance driving, the A5 is a great cruiser for comfort and also has a much quieter engine.

The interior of both cars are similar; the controls are all within easy reach, but the A5 does feel more luxurious, whereas the Series 4 has a more modern design with a compact dashboard, precise-feeling switches, and modern trim.

The infotainment system in both cars is user-friendly but the Series 4 doesn’t offer Android auto smartphone or Apple car play features, which are standard on the A5.

The series 4 has slightly more legroom in the rear, but the A5 has more headspace and a larger space under the front seat.

When comparing the Audi A5 vs. BMW 4 series for cost, there is not much difference. Between the two, the Audi is perhaps a few hundred dollars more expensive.

Overall, the decision to buy an A5 or a series 4 is strictly based on personal preferences. Both cars offer good value, are reliable, and hold good value even as used cars.

BMW 4 Series | Kidney Grille | Braman BMW in Jupiter, Florida

The BMW 4 Series of the Future

The BMW 4 Series is “Styled to Thrill.” We couldn’t agree more! Upping the excitement, the legendary brand unveiled the BMW Concept 4 at the 68th iAA Cars Show in Frankfurt recently. This car, says Senior VP BMW Group Design, Adrian van Hooydonk, “embodies the aesthetic essence of the BMW brand. It combines perfect proportions with a clear and precise design.”

The Concept 4 features bold air intakes and sleekly sculpted surfaces that exude power and performance. But the show-stopper is certainly the vertical kidney grille. It gives a nod to legendary classics, such as the BMW 328 or 3.0 CSi, while integrating intricate contemporary detailing. The grating has horizontal trim elements with a faceted cut that contrasts perfectly with the front end’s sporty design.

The bold design of the kidney grille is emphasized by the slim twin headlights, giving the Concept 4 a thoroughly modern appeal. The LED lights are worked into the body instead of covered with glass or plastic as is typical. It is more 3D sculpture than car – but don’t worry: it drives like a dream.

BMW’s Concept 4 has a modern silhouette with stretched bonnet, long wheelbase, short overhangs, and fluid roofline, each of which underscores the vehicle’s dynamic energy. The Forbidden Red exterior paint, which appears glossy red or sleek black, depending on the light, also adds to the allure.

This vehicle expresses BMW’s desire to stay true to its heritage while moving boldly into the future. This is a coupe’s coupe; it sets the bar for its class.

The Concept 4 offers a look ahead and gives us a glimpse of what we can expect in the years to come. For now, visit Braman BMW’s Jupiter team to learn more about the BMW 4 Series. Sleek, sexy, and powerful, these are vehicles for the intrepid driver.

Welcome to the BMW Series 4 Gran Coupe

2015 BMW Gran Coupe

What isn’t to love in a coupe?  One of BMW’s standard “looks,” when most people think of a BMW, they are probably coming up with the image of a coupe.  Its sporty feel and looks are irresistible.  With delicious styling and loads of power, it has traditionally been one of BMW’s best sellers.  Here are a few reasons why.

Room and Beauty

The BMW 4 Series offers a sleeker rear roofline with more headroom.  Additionally, this coupe has the same length as the 3 Series, but you gain an extra two doors – which is efficiency with zero compromise on the Coupe’s typical look.  If that isn’t enough, the fold-down rear seatbacks will open up some serious cargo space. The difference is a sportier feel.

Consider the BMW 428i and 435i

Looking at these models gives a driver a better sense of what to expect.  While the 428i offers a 2.0 liter 4-cylinder engine with 240 horsepower, the 435i promises a 3.0 liter inline 6 cylinder that will deliver up to 300 horsepower.  Great highway and city mileage for both vehicles means a powerful yet efficient ride.  Features are incredibly loaded, ranging from safety features, such as fog lights to the luxury and convenience of driver memory seating.  Outstanding safety features include assisted parking technology, blind spot monitors, as well as a frontal-collision warning system that is state-of-the-art.

How Does it Drive?

Like a sports car with the feel of a stiff suspension, so you always feel in control.  Its quick reflexes and minimal body roll mean the ride is quiet and supple.  But why not see for yourself?
