2022 BMW 3 Series

2022 BMW 3-Series: Preview, Pricing, Release Date

From what we know so far about the 2022 BMW 3-Series, BMW has excelled once again at producing a luxury car for the ages.

This top-quality, multi-faceted luxury car, like previous models, still carries the tradition of BMW. The 2022 BMW 3 series represents all the great things that BMW is famous for including luxury, status, and power.

But that is not all: the 3 series offers a great ride far surpassing many of its rivals. This 7th generation of the 3 series is perhaps the best of the lot; with each successive year, minor refinements have resulted in a luxury car that supersedes all expectations.

BMW has played it smart and what has worked over the past decade has not been altered and the same applies to the 3 series. But there are a few novel things in the 3 series, which include the following:

  • M sports package that includes a rear spoiler
  • Climate-controlled cabin lighting
  • Adaptive LED headlights with laser light
  • Minimal alterations to the exterior and interior colors

On the road, the 2022 BMW series 3 offers a comfortable drive, with lots of power when you need it. Not designed for the racetrack, the 3 series is ideal for casual driving and touring.

The interior is huge with ample space, including 17 cubic feet of trunk space. The seats are covered with perforated simulated leather and available in cognac and Tacora red.

There are no major surprises on the exterior except for some minor touches to the double grille, and a minor dent in the rear side windows to make it look sportier.

Besides the carbon-fiber roof, the M3 comes with humongous 18-inch alloys up front and 19-inch rims at the back.

Other standard features include rain-sensing wipers, LED headlights, heated side mirrors, self-dimming rearview mirror, moonroof, and 40/20/40 split/folding rear seats.

For safety, there is the standard driver assistance mini package that comes with automatic high beams, forward collision warning, and lane-keeping assistance.

The 8.8-inch touch screen comes with a state-of-the-art infotainment system, two USB ports, satellite radio, Apple CarPlay/Android auto smartphone integration, and Bluetooth connectivity.

All the 3 series models also come with other safety features, like remote lock/unlock, on-street parking information, and stolen vehicle recovery.  The one downside to the BMW3 series hybrid is that the mileage on the battery is very limited.

The base price for the 330i with rear-wheel drive is $41,450. If you want the all-wheel drive or the BMW3 series hybrid, add in an extra $2,000.

The good news is that in some states the 330e models may be eligible for incentives and state tax credits.

If you want the M340i, be prepared to pay about $55,000 and another $10,000 for the upgrades.

The top-of-the-line M3 starts at $70,000 and the M3 competition xDrive model is about $77,000. The 2022 BMW 3 series has just arrived and is available at most BMW dealerships.  Call Braman BMW West Palm Beach at (561) 609-0130 to learn more today.

BMW 2 Series vs. 3 Series: What’s the Difference?

Both the BMW 2 Series and the 3 Series offer some amazing drive benefits, but if you’re in the market for a 2020 choice that meets all of your needs, which way should you go? Take a closer look at the BMW 2 Series vs. 3 Series to get a better look at what you might want to consider.

Quality Craftsmanship

No matter which way you go, you’re going to get real quality. The 2020 BMW 2 Series means you’re not going for a bigger vehicle, though. Instead, it blends practicality and comfort in a smaller package. Expect all the amenities with a vehicle like this including LED headlights, parking sensors, keyless entry, and a 6.5 inch infotainment screen.

One special point you must be sure to consider is the 2020 BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe. To date, the 2 Series has only been available as a coupe. The Gran Coupe, though, is a four door version that means plenty of rear seat space that may be important to you. It’s a bit sportier than the other models, and it offers a more aerodynamic look.

If you’re looking for a bit more luxury, though, you may want to upgrade to the 3 Series. It offers plenty of space with a few upscale touches including form fitting seats, a larger infotainment system, and cabin lighting. Add the premium package and you’ll get heated front seats and a heated steering wheel.

Should you select the BMW 2 Series, you’ll choose from a coupe or a convertible and two different trim levels. The 230i and the M240i trim series are both available. The 230i includes a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. Expect 248 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. Select the M240i if you want slightly more power. You’ll get a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder engine with this model that includes 335 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque. Both feature an eight-speed automatic transmission or you can opt for a six-speed manual.

The 3 Series offers you even more power. Choose from two trim levels here, too: the 330i and the M340i. The 330i means a turbocharged 2.0 liter four cylinder with 255 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. The upsell means more power thanks to a six-cylinder, 382 horsepower engine that can put out 369 lb-ft of torque. It comes with an eight-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive. All-wheel drive is optional on both trim levels.

The 2 Series offers you the sporty drive you’re looking for. You’ll be comfortable throughout, but you’ll certainly feel like you’re in a vehicle that was made for sport. Comfort, though, reigns supreme with the 3 Series. You get plenty of sharp handling aspects, but the ride quality is stunning.

BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe | BMW 6 Series GT | Braman BMW of Jupiter, Florida

RIP: BMW 6 Series Hatchback Sedans

Out with the old, in with the new! In order to make room for new stock, sometimes you have to let go of previous models. You see it every year with different vehicle manufacturers; they phase out your favorite car series. When it happens to an industry giant and luxury automaker like BMW, however, you find yourself just a little more upset than usual! Unfortunately, the BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe is just one of the BMWs we’re saying goodbye to in 2020.

Much like the popular villain from 2019’s hit movie series, Avengers, the powers-that-be at BMW simply snapped their fingers and got rid of the BMW 6 Series GT, the BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe, and the BMW 3 Series GT. The company had a great idea when they decided to flood the market with hatchback sedans. Not only would you drivers be able to enjoy great gas mileage and easy maneuvering and parking due to the smaller size, they’d still be able to bask in the luxury that only BMW can provide.

While we have to be honest and say we won’t really miss the BMW 3 Series GT as much as we should, we will say that we’re devastated to be losing the BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe. The low, well-proportioned exterior looked amazing. The vehicle was also a smooth, great ride, perfect for long trips across the country.

There is, however, some good news. Even though the 6 Series Coupe will be gone, the same style (or a very similar style) can be found with the 8 Series Gran Coupe. That means if you enjoyed the style of the BMW 6 Series GT, you’ll still be able to enjoy the sleek lines in the new 8 Series. Let’s embrace the new!

2019 BMW 3 Series | Top Safety Pick | Braman BMW Jupiter, Florida

2019 BMW 3 Series Earns IIHS Top Safety Pick+

When you’re navigating city streets on your daily commute, winding over back roads on your weekends off, bringing the kids to soccer practice, or running errands, you want to enjoy the thrill of exceptional handling and performance. But all that means nothing if the vehicle you are driving is not safe. With the 2019 BMW 3 Series, you can ride easy. It has earned the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety’s highest recommendation, earning the Top Safety Pick+ designation.

The previous BMW 3 Series earned the highest “Good” score in every crash test it was put through. The new edition improves on this with forward collision prevention, which improved to a “Superior” score for both standard models and those with optional equipment. The 3 comes to a complete stop at both the 12 and 25 mph test speeds, unlike its predecessor which only gave a forward collision warning.

The 2019 BMW 3 Series also adds improved headlights and child seat anchors. The previous edition earned only a “Poor” rating for headlights (except for their highest end optional ones, which received an “Acceptable.”) BMW improved this to “Good” for the optional curve-adaptive headlights from the Executive Package. Child seat LATCH anchors also improved from “Marginal” to “Good.”

To receive the Top Safety Pick+ designation, a vehicle must earn “Good” ratings in several categories:

  • Driver-side small overlap front
  • Passenger-side small overlap front
  • Moderate overlap front
  • Side
  • Roof strength
  • Head restraint tests
  • Headlights

AND an “Advanced” or “Superior” rating in front crash prevention.

The BMW 3 Series clearly excelled in front end crash prevention, a feature which will bring peace of mind to drivers (and their passengers).

Your safety is the top priority. And when you can combine safety with refined features, all the better! The 2019 BMW 3 Series excels on all fronts.

2019 BMW 330i | New BMW 3 Series | Braman BMW Jupiter, Florida

Behind the Wheel of the 2019 BMW 330i

There’s a lot of hype around BMW, but not much of it focuses on the 2019 BMW 330i. The new BMW 3 series may not be capturing the headlines, but it is certain to capture the hearts of many thanks to its well-rounded features that have helped define this brand since its inception.

Under the Hood

The 2019 BMW 330i comes with a 2.0 liter turbocharged engine. At four-cylinders, not many enthusiasts are chomping at the bit, but the reality is that it’s perfect for most driving conditions you might encounter. It has 255 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque, which makes it plenty quick. It can hit 60 mph in around five seconds. An eight-speed automatic, you can choose between both rear-wheel drive and xDrive all-wheel drive.

A Marked Design Shift

This model is based on the CLAR platform, and the goal here was to increase chassis stiffness with the model. BMW wanted to feel far more solid than previous models, and those fortunate enough to drive it have said it achieves that goal, giving it a more stable, agile platform to work with, which helps to improve driver-chassis communication.

Lift-related passive dampers were overhauled with this model, which means bumps just aren’t a factor. In fact, you may get a bit worried that you’re so comfortable as you drive over rough terrain.  The variable steering ratio also got an overhaul with this model. That aspect means sharper, more responsive steering that remains balanced and neutral, no matter how much the road ahead may wind.

Because the variable ratio steering rack has been redesigned, you may notice a more linear rate of progression. It’s lock-dependent now, so the more lock you use in a given situation, the faster the ability to steer becomes.

The 2019 BMW 330i may only be an entry-level model, but this is one entry-level that you certainly want to consider.

2019 BMW 3 Series Release Date Redesign | Braman BMW Jupiter, Florida

2019 BMW 3 Series Release Date Unveiled

The 2019 BMW 3 Series release date is one of the most anticipated of the season. BMW’s kept the date itself under wraps, but showed the car itself at the 2018 Paris Motor Show. The 2019 BMW 3 Series redesign they unveiled was very aggressive. It retains so many marks of what makes a BMW a BMW, while also reshaping elements of its aesthetic in some exciting ways.

Re-Imagined Looks

Precision in design gives the 2019 BMW 3 Series redesign a sharper, bolder look. The kidney grille is pronounced, while the headlights look ferocious. The look is of a car made to chase down prey, like a leopard caught mid-stride.

It’s not just the aesthetics that have changed, though. The wheelbase and track widths are both slightly extended, and the car’s a little wider, longer, and taller, too. Many of these adjustments are made for balance and handling. The redesign has a lower center of gravity and 25% more rigidity in the suspension. Combined with its lower weight and wider stance, these contribute to exceptionally precise steering and the best 3 Series agility yet.

Superb Improvements

Rethought underbody sealing even makes the 3 Series redesign more aerodynamic than the 3 Series of the past. With the BMW 320d xDrive, you also get BMW’s exceptional all-wheel drive system that helps compensate for any loss of traction, returning more control to the driver. For a more classic BMW feel, you can still get the rear-wheel BMW 320d, without the xDrive system.

The interior is exceptionally clean-looking. In an age of luxury performance cars having ten thousand buttons up the center console, it’s refreshing that BMW keeps things reasonable. You should be staring out the beautifully swept front windshield, not getting lost in the controls at your elbow. That said, no functionality is lost – BMW just designs interiors and controls in a very efficient way.

What About That Release Date?

About that 2019 BMW 3 Series release date: Right now, the 3 Series is undergoing testing at Nurburgring Nordschleife. You should see the BMW 320d and 320d xDrive on sale starting March 9, 2019.

Why Drive a 2018 BMW 3 Series?

BMW has flagship luxury and performance cars, technologically superior crossovers, and futuristic experimental vehicles that look like Steven Spielberg dreamed them up. Every automaker needs what brings them home again, though. You’ll find that in the BMW 3 Series. The 2018 BMW 3 Series sedan holds true to many classic BMW design choices, while also offering an incredible range of powertrains to adapt to any situation.

BMW’s Iconic 3 Series

The 2018 BMW 3 Series sedan maintains a classic BMW look that’s always stayed in style. It communicates a car connoisseur’s taste. Best of all, it does so in an affordable way. The 3 Series has long proved that you can own an iconic BMW without breaking the bank.

Start with the 2018 BMW 320i. This highlights how the series is focused on powerful, classic, performance sedan designs. The Hofmeister kink, kidney grilles, and sleek lines all scream BMW as you zip by slower traffic.

There’s more to the 2018 BMW 320i than just the exterior. BMW prides itself on its engineering excellence. The 3 Series boasts a near-perfect 50-50 weight distribution that few other cars approach. This ensures a smooth, stress-free driving experience centered on easy handling and precision response. You’ll feel the difference when you take a corner at speed and hug it perfectly.

Powerful Customization

You can also step up to the 320i xDrive for complete all-wheel drive that will help you master bad roads and stay extra safe in inclement weather.

The customization options are impressive. The number of powertrains available in the 3 Series is substantial, and high quality customizations can be made to the exterior highlights and interior finishings.

Not only this, but the 2018 BMW 320i and its fellow 3 Series cars feature some of the latest and most powerful BMW technology. The 2018 BMW 3 Series sedan is distinctive because it brings so much classic BMW features forward to today, marrying what’s always worked so well with what will work beautifully tomorrow.

7 Reasons to Buy a BMW 3 Series

BMW 3 Series | Braman Motorcars

The chic outline of a Bimmer is reason enough to invest in a BMW 3 Series. But if you need  more, consider the following:

1. Hybrids. If you want the ability to choose between traditional and environmental, then the iconic brand has you covered. Visit your BMW dealership to check out their gorgeous hybrid models.

2. Space. The interiors are out of this world, not just in quality, but in how open they feel. Is it really bigger on the inside? That might just be one of BMW’s secrets….

3. Fleets Everywhere. If you depend on company cars to make your business run, BMW does fleet better than anyone. The new BMW 3 Series is affordable and economical – perfect!

4. The Engine. Advanced technology make BMW a clear choice among those who want power, performance, and ultimate efficiency.

5. iDrive. Technology comes into play in a big way with luxury cars, and you can take a look yourself when you visit your BMW dealership. The Infotainment system allows you to do much more than just check maps and play music.

6. Handling. Driving a BMW 3 Series is a real treat. From long roads to hairpin curves, it’s got excellent balance and superior grip. They don’t call this the “Ultimate Driving Machine” for nothing.

7. A Clear View. Though a lot of people don’t give it much thought, visibility is critically  important. Fast and fancy cars may hunker down on that windshield, giving you a narrow view of the world outside. The new BMW 3 Series, however, lets you see as much as possible.

These reasons should be enough to get you to a BMW dealership. And once there, you’ll discover a myriad of other reasons to love this classic brand – and to drive away in a 3 Series.
