2021 BMW M4 MPG

The 2021 BMW M4 coupe is a dramatically different car from its competitors. The 2021 model of this 2-door coupe comes with marked changes in bodywork, appearing more powerful and aggressive than its predecessors. Built for power and performance, it is a great car if you want a great driving experience. But the BMW M4 mpg reflects that.

BMW M4 MPG

The 2021 BMW M4 mpg is 16 in the city and 23 on the highway, for a combined mpg of 19, from the 15.6-gallon tank. The average fuel costs for the BMW M4 have been estimated at around $2,800 per year (assuming  15,000 miles a year and employing good driving habits).

Who determines the BMW M4 mpg?  The official numbers come from an NEDC (New European Driving Cycle) lab test.  This test was designed to measure pollutant emissions and carbon dioxide levels.  There are two parts to the test: city, and highway.

FEATURES OF THE M4

The M4 has many significant enhancements, including an All-Wheel Drive system that can be switched to a rear-drive-only mode. Better still, BMW has made a manual transmission available.

The  BMW M4 mpg is somewhat sacrificed for the power. The 473 horsepower behind the M4 is due to its twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six. The Competition model generates 503 hp from the 8-speed automatic transmission.

The interior of the M4 is much more race-inspired than the regular 4 series. It comes with some unique carbon-fiber placement, a thick-rimmed steering wheel, which features red M buttons to customize the driving mode. In addition, the M-sports seats are bolstered for comfort and have an illuminated logo. Of course, being a coupe, the rear seat is much, much smaller than that of the M3.

The infotainment center is pretty similar to the regular 4 series, but there are many options for upgrades, including subscription-based Wi-Fi connectivity, gesture control, and a wireless charging pad. There are both standard and optional driver assistance packages. The standard safety features available include rear cross-traffic alert, blind-spot monitoring, lane departure warning, and adaptive cruise control.

The base price for the BMW M4 is about $73K, but with the upgrades, this luxury coupe can cost around $100K.  BMW does provide a competitive power train warranty and complimentary scheduled maintenance.
