The BMW 4 Series is “Styled to Thrill.” We couldn’t agree more! Upping the excitement, the legendary brand unveiled the BMW Concept 4 at the 68th iAA Cars Show in Frankfurt recently. This car, says Senior VP BMW Group Design, Adrian van Hooydonk, “embodies the aesthetic essence of the BMW brand. It combines perfect proportions with a clear and precise design.”
The Concept 4 features bold air intakes and sleekly sculpted surfaces that exude power and performance. But the show-stopper is certainly the vertical kidney grille. It gives a nod to legendary classics, such as the BMW 328 or 3.0 CSi, while integrating intricate contemporary detailing. The grating has horizontal trim elements with a faceted cut that contrasts perfectly with the front end’s sporty design.
The bold design of the kidney grille is emphasized by the slim twin headlights, giving the Concept 4 a thoroughly modern appeal. The LED lights are worked into the body instead of covered with glass or plastic as is typical. It is more 3D sculpture than car – but don’t worry: it drives like a dream.
BMW’s Concept 4 has a modern silhouette with stretched bonnet, long wheelbase, short overhangs, and fluid roofline, each of which underscores the vehicle’s dynamic energy. The Forbidden Red exterior paint, which appears glossy red or sleek black, depending on the light, also adds to the allure.
This vehicle expresses BMW’s desire to stay true to its heritage while moving boldly into the future. This is a coupe’s coupe; it sets the bar for its class.
The Concept 4 offers a look ahead and gives us a glimpse of what we can expect in the years to come. For now, visit Braman BMW’s Jupiter team to learn more about the BMW 4 Series. Sleek, sexy, and powerful, these are vehicles for the intrepid driver.
