BMW G80 M3

Even though the 2021 BMW G80 M3 has just been introduced to the U.S. market, it has garnered a lot of positive reviews. Like all previous BMWs, the M3 is considered to be the Ultimate Driving Beast. This 6th generation luxury sports vehicle looks fast and expensive, and it is.

WHAT’S THE G80 M3 LIKE?

First, the frontal face is like most previous BMWs, but the BMW M3 2021 has one unique feature, the twin large grilles do not impart good aesthetics. But aside from the grille, the car is good-looking and comes with the generic rear four large exhaust pipes. For most people, the car still retains its iconic look.

The BMW M3 2021 is much heavier and bigger than many previous M3s. Not only is the wheelbase wider but the car is also longer and weighs in at nearly 3,745 pounds. The M3 comes with a turbocharged 3.0 liter inline-six and an 8 speed ZF automatic transmission that gives it 503Hp. As expected, the car is fast — hitting 60 mph in just 3.5 seconds. There is an option for a manual transmission and the 2022 model will come with an all-wheel drive. All M3s also come with an adjustable brake pedal feel and adaptive dampers.

It is on the roads that the M3 excels. The big weight and low center of gravity allows it to round corners gracefully and the thrust is enormous when needed. Even when accelerating, the interior is noiseless. Driving in the city will garner about 16 mpg and 23 mpg on the highways.

The interior has some new features, like the expensive M Carbon comfortable bucket seats, a carbon-fiber tray, and tons of legroom, but for the most part, the M3 has essentially the same visibility, infotainment center, passenger space, and comfort as the regular 3 series. The BMW G80 M3 also has standard and several optional driver safety assistance packages.

Overall, the BMW GO M3 is a fun car to drive. Aside from the large unsightly grille, it has ample power, offers a comfortable ride, and reigns supreme on curves.

WHAT IS THE COST OF THE BMW M3 2021?

The base price for the car is around $74K but there are many expensive options available, like the carbon-ceramic brakes, the interior carbon trim, and carbon roof, which, if purchased, the options could cost another $30K.  You would be looking at a total car price, with options, that is nearly $100K. But in the end, this is a high-end luxury BMW M3 2021, after all.
